Strike Season: High-Five Energy at Wild Fields!

Watch out, Atascadero—we’ve got a new power bowler on the lanes! Cato took on the mini-bowling lanes at Wild Fields Brewhouse, and it’s fair to say the pins didn’t stand a chance. Check out the video below to see the pure, unadulterated joy after he rolled an absolute laser of a ball right down the center for a clean strike. Pure toddler hype at its finest!

Cato’s First School Fieldtrip!

Mrs. Kim is a very brave soul and takes the kids to the zoo every summer for a class field trip. I believe we had 29 kids plus the various attending adults (teachers, parents, and grandparents… not all in the group picture). Thankfully, the Central Coast Zoo is a small operation, so it is easier to keep the kids corraled, lol. As always, the Red Pandas steal the cuteness award, and afterward, everyone enjoyed animal cracker snacks in the park.

Hudson’s 4th Birthday Party

It was a fun affair at the skate park in Grover Beach, complete with music, DJ, dance party, goats (taking a break from surfing), and, of course, wheels! Hudson and Cato worked on team building skills while climbing the steep sides.

He understood the assignment

3 years old. 0% accuracy. 😂

Gymnastics Drop In Class

We finally made it back to gymnastics, and Cato had just as much fun as ever on the trampoline, running the obstacle course, and learning somersaults. He still insists on getting stamps on his tummy so pulled up his shirt at the end of class lol.

Cato’s 3rd Birthday!!

For Catos’ birthday, we had a fun house party with lots of family and friends! Thankfully, the sun came out for some pleasant bubble fun in the backyard. Jasper had to stay outside all day until he could get a bath since he defended the yard from a skunk 4 hours before the party.

Going into 2026 be like…

He came for the parade, stayed for the footwork.

First Day of Preschool!

Cato marched right in and was ready to start playing with the new toys and kids. His cast works great for defending snacks, and group lunch time is a nice, social affair (so far, no swapping/ bartering being conducted). First art project was to evaluate how well everyone can scribble, lol. We’re starting out easy with just 3 days per week / 3 hrs per day, but plan to work up to 5 hrs per day.

Fun horse ride at the beach…until Dunny spotted a sea monster!

Great morning riding in Morro Bay at the beach with Sierra. However, Dunny thought he saw a sea monster in the waves and unexpectedly skedaddled out of the water in a hurry. Cato held on for a while but then hit the sand hard. The nice Urgent Care, ER, and Orthopedic Surgeon office staff were all great helping us with his broken arm, and Cato’s been a serious trooper! He was especially intrigued with being inside a monster donut!
