Cato really loves getting to hammer the pieces together for projects, but I’m pretty sure he’s more excited about getting to see all the heavy equipment up close 😆. Grandma helped to fill the feeder with bird seed.

Cato has been having fun with watering (anything and everything), mowing the lawn, and feeding Dunny. There have also been plenty of breaks to play with lady bugs and eat snacks.

Great trip to visit friends and celebrate birthdays. Activities included an Escape Room, Pickle ball, Casa Bonita, board games, and exploring several different play grounds. Cato had endless fun in the airports pushing the suitcase/stroller, riding the subway at DEN, playing with hand driers, and riding on every escalator/moving walk way he could find (going back and forth at least twice!).
After 8 years of living in CO, we finally made it to Casa Bonita as a tourist stop on a visit from out of state. Definitely felt like a Disneyland attraction complete with cliff divers, face painting, puppet shows, illusionist, and a live mariachi band! (the “dinner” price is definitely more for the entertainment cost than food quality lol)

Another escape room master minds success!

Trying out some pickle ball to see what all the fuss is about (Cato and Bre elected to nap instead)

Happy Birthday, Steve!

Visiting with Sid, Deepti, and Sarah. Cato was very excited about Sarah’s ball tower and Shadow was quite disapointed that we didn’t bring Jasper to play with him.

Not to be overlooked, there was actually some good quality sleep during the trip!!

How to keep a toddler occupied while waiting for a plane? Give him something to push and a moving sidewalk to run laps back and forth on!

Flying back into SLO had some beautiful views of the coastline including Morro Bay

Another lovely outing wandering around the riverbed. The water crossing was short on rocks, so Cato tried throwing sticks (harder). Jasper got to chase squirrels and birds to his hearts content. The trail is definitely overgrown with vegetation, so there was some brush wacking involved

We’ve been having lots of fun with our weekly outing to school (SLO Adult School). Today, the playground was extra fun with learning to hitch a ride and helping mow the lawn!

Great weekend visiting and catching up with old friends. Cato was a trooper on the drive and had a blast riding his bike around and playing with the other kids. We also discovered that Zihla’s brother, Derek, is twins with Stephanie’s husband, Keven.

Lots of water and great views! Cato fell into the waterfall pool before we even started the hike, so he was already in his second outfit and came home in a diaper because I didn’t want poison oak covered clothes in the carseat 😂

Great weekend getting reaquainted with the area. Found a camping spot right next to a creek (with lots of rocks for Cato to throw!) near La Panza Campground in Los Padres NF and hiked up to the top of Castle Craggs in Machesna Wilderness (even found a little bit of tech work for the trucks). It was a little wet in the morning but not too bad for breakfast burritos!

We’re only 6 days into Spring, and we’ve already had two lovely afternoons playing in the water! (Salinas river bed and San Luis Creek)

The weekend kicked off with hosting a Game Day on Saturday, and then Sunday, we checked out a new playground (Sta Margarita) and enjoyed a glass of wine (with lots of bubbles and chickens for Cato) at Dark Star Winery
