Per usual, Cato had fun running around with Parker and Hudson while Ashley and I attempted to enjoy the views. Family anniversary dinner at Old SLO was lovely… complete with picnic table next to a sandbox!! 7 year wedding anniversary ❣️

Celebrating the Fall Equinox with some apple picking at SLO Creek Farms with Parker and Hudson. The boys had a blast running around the orchard, exploring the flower fields, and playing with the lawn games. Many apples were consumed 🙂

Cato marched right in and was ready to start playing with the new toys and kids. His cast works great for defending snacks, and group lunch time is a nice, social affair (so far, no swapping/ bartering being conducted). First art project was to evaluate how well everyone can scribble, lol. We’re starting out easy with just 3 days per week / 3 hrs per day, but plan to work up to 5 hrs per day.

Fun trip back back to CO to visit Uncle Steve and Auntie Heather. Steve and Du tried their hand at the inaugural Big Horn Sheep Ride in Gypsum (80 miles, mixed gravel/tarmac) but decided actual racing just isn’t their jam. Cato’s arm was noticeably feeling better and didn’t slow him down in the least!

Fun afternoon checking out the children’s museum and then hanging out by the creek. So much to explore!

Great morning riding in Morro Bay at the beach with Sierra. However, Dunny thought he saw a sea monster in the waves and unexpectedly skedaddled out of the water in a hurry. Cato held on for a while but then hit the sand hard. The nice Urgent Care, ER, and Orthopedic Surgeon office staff were all great helping us with his broken arm, and Cato’s been a serious trooper! He was especially intrigued with being inside a monster donut!

We had a fantastic time checking out Anchorage for 4 days and then driving down to Seward to explore for another 3 days. Highlights included a Reindeer Farm (with a practice roof ;-), watching planes at the world’s largest sea plane base, a Glacier Discovery train ride, hiking to Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park, and a 6hr boat tour into the same park. As always, Cato’s favorite activities involved throwing rocks into water, climbing on tractors, and scrambling over rocks/roots while hiking. He also loves airplane trips because then he gets to ride on LOTS of escalators, moving walk ways (running laps, if time permits), and underground trams.

It was a fun afternoon playing board games with friends! Istanbul did not disappoint (we actually did two rounds with different players). Du cooked some delicious BBQ for dinner (Jasper approved!) and Cato had fun getting to play with Quang. When I announced “Bed time!” Cato crawled under the table to sleep with Jasper 🥰

Hudson and Cato had a blast feeding lettuce to all the animals, playing on the old tractor, and then picking berries. The very nice but out-of-touch lady at the farm stand expected us to pick berries with 2 year olds and NOT let them eat any in the process… definitely a losing battle, lol 🤣
